2006 Men's European Handball Championship
The 7th edition of the Men's European Handball Championship came to an end on Sunday 5th February with France winning the European Championship title in front of a capacity crowd of over 11 000 in the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland. This is the first European Championship title for France, with a final match (Spain against France) that has never been seen before at a Euro Final.

Reaching new records!
The Euro06 clocked up record figures, with 90% of spectator capacity being reached. Over 800 media representatives were in Switzerland to report from the Championship. According to figures supplied by the EHF TV and Marketing Partner Infront Sports and Media, the Championship was broadcast in over 60 countries via 56 television and 17 radio companies. The official Euro06 website www.euro06.com also proved to be a great success, with over 60% more users than in at the last Men's European Championship in 2004.

Euro06 Quiz
Over 20 000 people took part in the Euro06 Quiz at www.euro06.com. Each day a lucky winner won a pair of Adidas Handball shoes. All correct entries went into a final draw to win more prizes. The star prize being an all expenses paid trip to the final of the Men's Champions League. The winner was Florence Visser from the Netherlands CONGRATULATIONS!
