The LHBNC, the Ligue de Handball de Nouvelle Calédonie, is placed under the FFHB, the Fédération Française de Hand Ball. It is currently managed by a Board of Directors of 14 people.
Various Committees such as the Sport Committee, the Technical Committee, the Referree Committee, the Disciplinary Committee, the Communication Committee, or the Junior and Youth Committee allow a powerful development of Handball in the region.
Fifty five teams resulting from twenty four Clubs or Associations distributed all around the country have successfully brought 2045 players to the different competitions organized in 2005 by the Sport Committee.
Thanks to the help of the local and federal institutions, the LHBNC benefits from the actions of skilled staffs and from a annual budget of 150 000 Euros.
Male and female regional championships are organized each year for Seniors, Juniors and Youths.
The LHBNC is under intensive development... and its influence in the Pacific is starting to be well recognized...
